Thinking of Someone

My fabulous friend S went of to university yesterday. So in honour of the occasion I’m posting something that I recently added to the Hello Kitty look book. It’s an idea for the Goth festivals with S as the lady and me as the glamorous boi. I think we’d cause quite a stir!

HKPOP: More TradGoth Musings

3628144839_c0e0b99bd9_b I’m contemplating the development of a few Trad Goth looks with an eye on this year’s festivals. This is probably the sort of look I’d go for. I’m not one for the ultra Victoriana (as well as issues for the girlyboi created by Little Britain) but in small doses it does look good. Mind you, I still need to decide which of the fests I’m going to!

HKBOP: A Tradgoth look

3595135218_a72cfd3456_bI found this on Flickr when looking at pictures from this year’s Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig, which I couldn’t attend due to a lack of money (or indeed desire to drive single handed from Devon again) and thought it would be a good look for festival daytimes. I think it rather fits in with my usual daytime aesthetic but cranks up the goth level a few notches. It should be relatively comfortable too, good for the steep slopes of Whitby or the heat of central Germany in the summer. Might be good for going out closer to home as well.

HKBOP: An intro

DSCN1561When browsing sites like Flickr, I’ll sometimes see an outfit or a look that I really like, I will often save it to print out and place in the Hello Kitty Book of Pretty. This is a scrap book of inspirations, I won’t copy slavishly but I will try and take something and then put my own twist on it.

In future entries, I’ll be taking a few examples from the book and will tell you why I chose that image and what I might do with it. For now I thought I’d better explain before you wonder what I’m on about!
