Having a nasty virus of some kind is not good at the best of times, so the one I have now is especially unwelcome...
Still I won't let it stop me wishing you all a Merry Chrimbo!

Quietness
Apologies for the quietness - I've been very busy this week. Lots of work, the office christmas party (any donations of Brain Bleach would be greatly received) and the interview. (I find out next week)
I will also be away for most of next week aswell - I'm going to be spending Christmas at the parents. Glam Life will resume in the new year :)

Confidence and Egoboo (and a pub crawl too)
A letter arrived today confirming that I do indeed have an interview next week. Fingers are very much crossed. I'm not going to say any more in case I jinx it.
Last night, I went out on a normal night out en-femme. By normal I mean not Goth or Alternative or even Gay. It was also the first time some of my friends had met Sadie (though they knew about - I just hadn't been very glamourous because of circumstances). Town was very busy as it was late night shopping, this also meant that most of the pubs were busy too. The first pub we tried (The Angel) had an Open Mic and not fancying trying to talk over poetry we then moved on to The Ship. This wasn't too busy, but did contain the Postgraduate Physics dinner. As the physicist in our group didn't want to associate with drunken Russians we moved on again to try the City Gate. This turned out to be full of Carol singers. So finally we ended up at the White Hart where a good time was had. Pictures were taken and might get posted later.
All this meant I clocked up about two miles in heels, some of the terrain was a bit rough going with odd slopes, 'Blunkets' and poorly maintained pavement. To this end I have a nice blister on my toe!
All of my friends said that they'd like Sadie to come out more often. I think girl nights out will happen a lot more frequently from now on.
And as I haven't done a 'Today I am Wearing' for a bit last nights outfit was.
It was rather cold - though at least not cold, wet and windy like tonight!

A quick mobile post
I have just had a very interesting bit of news. I won't elaborate further until it is confirmed later this week but things could be very much on the up.
Planning a glam day tomorrow, will post some pictures if things look good, haven't had much chance for make-up practice in the last week - need more motivation!

Socialness
Having been to the last two social things with my friends as a boi mostly as I've not had a chance to tart as I've been going out straight from work (Two Birthday parties - one with Pyrates and rum). So with another night out looming on Thursday - to tart or not to tart is the question.
All this partying has meant the blog has been a bit quiet. Dead may be the new alive but hangovers are worst of all.
I've cancelled the camcorder order, its not going to be in stock until afterShopfest Christmas and so I might as well keep my money and see if the price drops in the sales (unlikely if its out of stock come to think of it)

Tranny Style
What is it about a lot of trans types having no sense of style. Its rare to find them wearing anything that an actual girl would wear. There seem to be two extreme is the slutty look*, micro skirts, skyscraper heels and not much else, fine in a fetish club, not so good when out shopping. The other extreme is the exact opposite with a tendancy to the very old fashioned, taking styling cues from old ladies with twinsets etc.
I guess this comes from studying other transtypes rather then sitting in the High Stree or pubs and clubs for a bit and looking at what people (especially girls) wear. I guess being in a small city and leaning to the goth side meant I didn't encounter many trans types during the formuative years of my style.
*OK un the past I might have had a thing for slut boots*** and PVC - still I did keep it to the clubs.
**Again guilty, but more as Goth Fashion then TG
***And I still do so there

Discontinued
am very annoyed with New Look, they had some nice slouchy suede boots (pointy with a slight heel) in my size (yes they now do 9s) for not very much money and I decided rather then pay postage online I'd go to the store and buy this morning. They didn't have any so I go back and look on the Website - Black has gone! They just have grey now *wonders if grey would work with my usual all black combos*
I've been called into work for six hours this afternoon, extra money's good and given that today is horrible, wet and cold, I think I'd rather be here and get paid for it :)
