Today I am Wearing: NYE

This is an automatic post as I’ll be out partying when it goes live. Yes its lazy but I’d rather be celebrating with my friends then sat at home waiting to press enter. *winks*

So yes, the infamous NYE outfit is…

  • Customised White top with ‘R’ logo
  • Tiny Miniskirt
  • Black Corset
  • PVC Thigh high boots
  • PVC Opera Gloves
  • Red Wig

Yep I’m doing Jessie from Pokémon’s Team Rocket, its a very geeky party with a computer game theme.

Anyway whatever you are doing I hope you have a good evening and roll on 2010!

Dita vs Croc Evil

I think Dita has taste

Dita Von Teese has revealed that she cannot forgive people for wearing crocs.

The burlesque dancer said that she was shocked when she recently saw celebrity blogger Perez Hilton wearing the clumpy shoes.

Von Teese told Metro: "I find crocs offensive. I really can't accept those under any circumstances. I was at an airport with Perez Hilton who was wearing those shoes. I was aghast."

From Digitalspy

I found this a while ago, but never got round to posting (is so out of date)

Looking at the New Year

I'm now back in Exeter after a quiet Christmas with the family in Budleigh, though my break was short lived as I returned to work yesterday. Still I am looking forward to New Year's Eve and the Cosplay party, especially now my red wig has arrived. I'm going to have to try everything together in the next few days.

Speaking of the new year, and of resolutions, Next year I hope to achieve.:

  • Be a Girl:
I'm not meaning operations (yet), what I am aiming for is full time girl when not at work, doing family stuff or other things where it essential that I am boied. That follows on from last year's effort to be 'more glam more often'. With that being relatively successful, I think it might be worth taking up a gear.
  • Less Coke:
Cut back on my consumption of a certain brown fizzy drink.
  • Get a Boi/Girlfriend:
    Pretty Obvious Really!
  • One Photo per day:
I plan to take a photo of something every day, whether it is an outfit, some scenery or just something I found interesting.
  • Keep this blog alive:
I plan to try and post semi regularly, hopefully a couple of posts each week.

So those are my plans for next year. Wish me luck...

Edit: I've also noticed that I've now passed 100 posts, pity the 100th post wasn't anything more interesting then a "Merry Christmas" but still cause for some celebration...

Inspiration: COTTDSWHC

This girl has a very cool style, definitely could make some of her looks work with an extra dose of dark style.

Last Glam before Christmas

I'm spending Christmas with the family so no chance of glamour for a bit, but just before I left for the parents I produced a VLOG and took some pictures.

Today I am Wearing: Early Morning glam

Today is a very cold morning and so I’m snuggled up in a warm dressing gown, I’m also wearing leggings, but as I couldn’t find my black pair they are shiny. And as I couldn’t find my slipper (I have now) I’m wearing heels… Definitely a glamourous way to eat your cereal.

I do like the corordination here... I don't need to say much more

New Buy: Big jumper.

DSCN1605I picked up this in Primark when lurking in town with my friend Dru. Its lovely and warm and snuggly, just what I need in the cold weather. It looks fantastic with leggings. Oh the colour matches some of my other recent purchases…

Cute and Glam

I have some very good news, hopefully in January I'll have some company in my flat. I'm getting some Rats! I have a cage and am working on a rat run to keep teeth away from my wirenests (untill I can find a more permanent way to unnest) Pictures will of course be posted :)

Am also pondering how to glam boi me more, for when the girl glam is inappropriate. I'm pondering shaving the remains of my natural hair off, and then adding makeup (with the hope I don't look too Festerish when not using fake hair).

Thats pretty much it for now (the spacebar is broken on this pc - usual quality equipment for work)

Glam Fail

Well in the end I didn’t end up going glam to either of last weekend’s events. Drama kicked off, I had no money and in the end I just couldn’t be bothered with making an effort when I’d probably be leaving early. Still I should have a bit more to look forward to in the coming weeks.

New Buy: Purple Next Boots

DSCN1603I was in need of some more daytime boots and decided to indulge my love of purple by getting these boots from Next. While Next do have a reputation for being very conservative and vanilla, they also make their boots in girlyboi friendly sizes! Consequentially these boots are very very comfortable. They have a foldable cuff so can be worn with the cuff down for pirate style. Alternatively with the cuff up they look equally good as an on-the-knee style. They look very good with black skinny jeans and the jumper I bought to match. More on that later…

Impending Doom: The Film Party

vanhelsing Well a while ago I told some of my work colleagues about girl me, and now I’ve been invited to a party. The theme is film and I ummed and ahhed for a bit. It was then suggested to me that I go as Kate Beckensale’s character in the film Van Helsing. The outfit itself is no problem. I have a corset, trousers, boots and now hair. But I have to admit I’m bricking it!

I’m feeling much more confident about my other upcoming attempt at cosplay. For a Video Game themed new year’s party I’m going as Jesse from Pokemon’s Team Rocket. Lets just hope my cosplay is better then some of these.

Today I was Wearing Special: Whitby Gothic Weekend

I spent the Halloween weekend at the Whitby Gothic Weekend. While I didn’t do the main event I had great fun doing the fringe events in the local pubs. Now WGW is rather extravagant so there was a lot of dressing up. So here is a Today I am Wearing special…

Thursday Daytime (Driving up)

  • Long sleeve black top
  • Black Skinny Jeans
  • Leopard Print Belt
  • Cowgirl boots
  • Black tube neck Coat

 Thursday Evening

  • Long sleeve black top
  • Black Skinny Jeans
  • Demonia Gothika Boots
  • Leopard Print Jacket

 Friday Daytime

  • Poison Industries cargo trousers
  • Demonia Stack Boots (great fun on the cobbles)
  • Black top (can’t remember which one)

 Friday Evening

  • Necessary Evil knee length skirt (that gave me no end of issues)
  • Victorian style top
  • Shiny Leggings
  • Lacybuckle boots

 Saturday Daytime

  • Poison Industries cargo trousers
  • Purple OTK boots
  • Print Top
  • Purple Coat

 Saturday Evening (Halloween Drag Queen)

  • Victorian Style top
  • Purple Glitter Stack Boots
  • Purple Creepy Creations Shrug
  • Black Leggings
  • Kate’s Clothing skirt

 Sunday Daytime

  • Black OTK boots
  • Primark Cape Coat
  • Long Leather Gloves
  • Black Jumper
  • Black Jeans

 Sunday Evening

  • White Creepy Creations Shrug
  • Shiny Leggings
  • Demonia Gothika Boots
  • Black Primark Top
  • Black and White Skirt

 Monday (Drive Home)

  • Boi stuff (meh!)

You’ll notice that I spent the whole weekend in girl mode, in fact the only reason I boied the drive home was that we had to be out of our cottage uber early so I didn’t have time to glam.

Further updatery to come…

Hoping I don’t get distracted

Hopefully there is an über update in the making. That’s if I don’t get distracted again!

In the meantime, its back to plotting for Whitby

Glamour Goals Update

Almost six months ago I posted some goals that I was aiming for in a bid to improve my glamour. I thought I would give a little progress report.

Work more on the makeup skills so I don't end up looking overdone

This I’ve been a bit hit and miss on. My makeup skills are indeed improving, but I am still very much a girl of very dark eye makeup. I have however learnt a couple of tricks to make it look more feminine. One very simple technique I’ve learnt is to not fully line the lower lid. Instead stopping slightly short which gives my eyes a more ‘lifted’ appearance. I’ve also slightly changed the shape I make with my shadow, taking inspiration from Grog (singer with Die So Fluid) which has also improved my look somewhat.

DSCN1485

I also attempted some very extravagant makeup, think I need a bit more practice and not try and overreach myself either. I was doing well until I thought it would be a good idea to style my brows into the look. “Eek!” is the best way to describe the results.

Get my brows done so they look more feminine, I'm a bit too skittish to do my own!

Following a few lessons from the lovely Kate I am now doing my brows with varying degrees of success, I’m getting there, just need more practice at making them even. Still I will keep practicing.

Work on a daytime look that isn't wrapped up in many coats/hats & scarves.

This is something I’ve made quite good progress on. I’ve bought quite a few girly fit T-shirts which I will wear with a light hooded top or similar as I’m still a bit paranoid about my boi shoulders. Still I am looking forward to wrapping up again in nice snugly coats.

Get rid of my boi hair - now I'm more willing to show more flesh my arms are a little embarrassing

I’m afraid this is still very much ‘To-Do’ – I do run the trimmer over my arms, but I would like something a bit more long term. Unfortunately Laser removing all my boi hair would cost an absolute bomb. Guess I’ll have to get much more intimate with a Mach 3 much more often. The blood will be flowing!

I’ll update the progress and will hopefully add some more goals soon. Now with it being a horrible rainy day I think I’ll have a bath and do my legs…

Hectic Week

This week has not really been good, this last week at work was the one with only one day off, combine that with it being a public holiday in England (which makes work much busier then usual – we don’t get public holidays off) and I’ve not had much time for glamour, instead I’ve been unwinding with movies and music.

Last night I attended my first fetish munch at the Mill on the Exe. As you may be aware I’ve been looking to expand my kink interest after a break of a couple of years and I figured that it might be a good idea to meet some of the local scene in less charged situation. Hopefully this will mean I’m a bit more confident when I finally get round to attending the Vaults night.

HKBOP: A Tradgoth look

3595135218_a72cfd3456_bI found this on Flickr when looking at pictures from this year’s Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig, which I couldn’t attend due to a lack of money (or indeed desire to drive single handed from Devon again) and thought it would be a good look for festival daytimes. I think it rather fits in with my usual daytime aesthetic but cranks up the goth level a few notches. It should be relatively comfortable too, good for the steep slopes of Whitby or the heat of central Germany in the summer. Might be good for going out closer to home as well.

Better then expected

Well the only comments I’ve had from people at work have been positive, wanting to know what the girl Facebook account was, and complimenting on the pictures that were posted. So as far as I know, all is good!

The new boots arrived last Monday (well OK I did include them in the last vlog) – they are fabulous! I now just have to solve my clash of the purples!

Out to work

Well I've stuck some of the girl pictures on the boi facebook, that is the one that I have a lot of people from work on - with a caption saying...

"I said I was being more open, though I suspect most of you knew I had a tendancy to dress as a glamourous dragdiva"

This is because I'm in a bit of a "Fuck it - I should be proud of who I am!" mood - after all I don't really consider myself a boi - but then I don't consider myself a girl either. I'm halfway up and halfway down. I sould be proud to be different, proud to unique and proud to be myself...

This might still bite me on the arse...

HKBOP: An intro

DSCN1561When browsing sites like Flickr, I’ll sometimes see an outfit or a look that I really like, I will often save it to print out and place in the Hello Kitty Book of Pretty. This is a scrap book of inspirations, I won’t copy slavishly but I will try and take something and then put my own twist on it.

In future entries, I’ll be taking a few examples from the book and will tell you why I chose that image and what I might do with it. For now I thought I’d better explain before you wonder what I’m on about!

Ooh Interesting Boots

Looks like the shops are going to be full of the nice boots this year (well at least I hope they will be)

Trend alert: Over-the-knee boots

Get ready for the ‘thigh-grazers’: From catwalk to high street, over-the-knee styles will be everywhere next season.

By Olivia Bergin

As seen on actress Rachel Weisz in this month’s Harper’s Bazaar, who is pictured reclining in a studded thigh-high pair by Alexander McQueen, “thigh-highs” - or “cuissardes”, as they have been dubbed – are the shoes for next season.

They were the stars of the autumn/winter catwalk shows in Milan, New York, London and Paris, and the high street has been quick to get in step.

Madonna, of course, had to be first and showed off her over-the-knee Louis Vuitton boots at the Costume Institute Gala, back in May. And trendsetter Kate Moss has been a faithful cuissardes crusader for several years.

It-girls Alice Dellal and Daisy Lowe are fans, while R'n'B star Rihanna wears hers on and offstage, and teenage sensation Miley Cyrus recently teamed her black leather pair with short-shorts and a fringed tunic top.

From the flat, Wellington boot-esque styles from Prada, to Vuitton's decadent gold leather and brocade platforms, the over-the-knee is next season's It-boot.

They were sleek and simple at Paul & Joe; eye-catchingly bright at Vivienne Westwood; and roomy enough to catch a few raindrops in at Peter Pilotto.

As always, the high street has quickly caught on to the shape of things to come and created an extensive selection of affordable versions. While the high-heeled, super-tight styles scream “Look how sexy I am!”, soft suede and nubuck boots in tones of grey are more discreet options. The flat interpretations are also great alternatives to the over-the-knee trend as they are more demure in design and hugely practical.

Recent Socialness

Had a good night out at the Transmute EBM night on Friday. Despite the shortness of the night I managed to pack in a lot of dancing (easier said then done when you've not worn 7" platforms out for a while *hehe*).

The night was a little marred by some hassle from some neanderthals in the main pub. Asking "Are you a bloke?" is not big or clever... Lucky our taxi arrived at that moment, so we managed to quickly escape.

I'm guessing by the lack of comments at work over that Facebook status (see yesterday's post) that no-one is really surprised. I'm not quite confident enough to wear a skirt to work though ;)

And today boi me has been swimming in the sea at Dawlish (I'm not at the stage of being able of swim girled and probably won't be without drastic things like breast implants or permahair). I've not swum for about 10 years so I was a bit faltery and the water was freezing! Though strangely it was warmer further out. We then walked along the sea wall to Dawlish Warren just in time for the train back home.

I've also ordered myself some rather nice Purple Boots from Next - hopefully they will be here on Tuesday

PS: I've changed the template I use for the site so some things may appear broken - I will eventually go back and debug the older posts...

Out Posing

This is the posing section of a VLOG post I made, unfortuntaly I had major lighting issues with the rest of the video and you couldn't see me! So here I am out for a walk and talking complete rubbish. Enjoy
This is also the first of my videos with the new camera, which shoots in HD!

Being more open

Well I mentioned girlness on the boi Facebook (the one most of my work colleagues can see) so far there have been no comments :) Maybe they don't read it (too busy on FarmTown most probably) Still it has giving me quite a bit of Egoboo!

A return

Its been a hectic couple of months so I’ve had to put the Glam Log on the back burner for a bit. I’m going to ease myself back in by posting weekly for a bit. (and I have a few VLOGs to post as “catch-up” like a glam version of the iplayer :) I’ll also be posting up a few images from the HKBOP (Hello Kitty book of pretty) – I’ll explain about that when the time comes.

Hopefully I will write more very very soon

Overworked

Sorry for the lack of updates - I've been on a Rota of Doom so have been mostly at work (and with the added stress of having to learn how to use new software.)

Still I did have a night out last Saturday, we had planned to go to the Alternative 80's night, but the venue had decided to squeeze a party in aswell. So we left for the White Hart in search of space and seating.

I'm currently trying to work out what to wear come the summer - so far most of my girlmode stuff is wintery (warm and snuggly) so I think I'm going to have to find some more summery stuff

Some Glamour Goals

This is really for my reference and I hope to tick them off as time goes by... Most of these I want to do in time for October's WGW. If not sooner :)
  • Get rid of my boi hair - now I'm more willing to show more flesh my arms are a little embarrassing
  • Get my brows done so they look more feminine, I'm a bit too skittish to do my own!
  • Work more on the makeup skills so I don't end up looking overdone.
  • Work on a daytime look that isn't wrapped up in many coats/hats & scarves.
Thinking a bit more, I'm less worried about being read then I was in the past. I might get some glances, but are they of admiration or fear? Hopefully the former, if its the latter then its their problem!

A Busy Weekend

I've had a fantastic weekend :)

Saturday I had to forgo the Pride workshop (probably a good thing) to pick my Gran up from the station and do family stuff

In the evening I glammed up in a short skirt, flame print pvc corset, new knee high boots* and a skinny top for Black Catz in Plymouth with Miss Dru. The club was very busy and I ended up dancing a lot with very pretty people. So much Egoboo! Finally got home about 5:15 :)

Its interesting to compare Plymouth clubbing with Exeter, In Plymouth the night has lots of publicity, is in a proper (albeit small) club in the city centre and is open up to 6am. The Exeter equivalent is a general metal night, in a Pub function room, a mile from the city centre, with limited promotion and it kicks out at midnight. I know Plymouth is bigger, but Catz is a niche Goth night - the Metal night is in C103 - using all of the huge three room club! I've seen smaller places do similar standards, even Truro (a fifth of the size of Exeter) had a monthly metal night in a proper club (till the venue went tits up)

Talking to a nice Transsexual lady on Saturday also yielding a very amusing piece of information. There is a monthly Tranny Club (not nightclub I hasten to add) at Clyst St George Village Hall. How Random!

On Sunday night I had a night of Wine and Wii. I'm starting to get a liking for Kirby…

*The boots arn't that new, but I've not had a chance to wear them out until now

Wednesday, 18 February 2009

Skinny and Pride

Well I've certainly have lost weight - I can now wear girlie shirts! I also no-longer have moobs!

Exeter apparently has a Pride now - though it reeks of focus group workshop - Think I've been clobbered to collect Gran from the station so might end up avoiding it, given Exeter's reputation that might be a good thing (cynical - moi!) - more info here

A new blog

I've decided not to flood The Glamlog with my geeking, so I've set up The Geeklog to contain my geekery.

Skeletons and Socialness

From Mike and Elizbeth's 2007 tourLast night I met up with a few friends and headed to the Well House - a pub that appears very normal on the outside as you can see but darkness lurks within. For deep in the cellar there is a Skeleton. Alas I don't have a picture of it as the person who took the picture suddenly felt very cold and deleted it! Naturally I attended in glam mode, helps the confidence, though I did have a near disaster with my makeup, my foundation brush wouldn't wash out the dust from the bathroom work (should have covered it - I know) and dust combined with water makes mud! Still it was great to have a night out en femme.

Today I'm back to work, makeup stained and weary. Am working up the confidence to really attack my brows, I'm also tempted by a friend's suggestion that I see a Beautician. Will have to see what the future brings

Resumption

I had planned to spend my week off being a glam tart, but with the bathroom to sort I’ve been rather preoccupied. Still I am going to save something from the week, I’ve just had my first shower (been using the parents’ while mine was out of action) and should be having a glam social this evening. More details on that to come…

Tuesday, 10 February 2009

Better Start Practicing

A couple of looks I might work on emulating to some extent.
This one I could probably do to some extent, would just need a bit more confidence and an appropriate top

Pneumonia_In_Pastels_2_by_RustyDarko Pneumonia_In_Pastels_3_by_RustyDarko

This one would need a lot of work on the makeup skills, but should be a good long term aim.

Child of the 80s

Well I must say that the Alternative 80s night was fabulous. Although I did get some hassle from a weirdo in a wheelchair. Some people seem to want me to justify myself, yes I am technically a guy, no I don’t want a full sex change, yes I am bisexual. Does any of this matter?! Still it was great to catch up with a few people I’d not seen for a while and to hear some good tunes!

Anyway there is going to be a distinct lack of glamour and indeed cleanliness (though I will be flannelling)  as I can’t use the shower for a day or so. I’m going to repaint the ceiling and need to let it dry out lest the paint starts peeling again!

I also need to sort out the PC, its been playing up of late. Two years does seem a long time for Vista to start developing problems. So I guess I’ll be using the Macs and Ubuntu for a bit.

Saturday, 7 February 2009

A Cold night out

Well tonight I’m going to wrap up warm and head out for a night of alternative 80s at a local alternative bar – Will be my first proper girl night out in about two months (previously I’ve gone straight from work and I’m not counting House parties) – I will be sure to let you all know how it goes.

Thursday, 5 February 2009

This Week I have been mostly.

Well they say bad things come in threes and Monday was just one of those days. After a manic (snow issues) day at work I decided to unwind with a bit of geeking. So I take the big HDD out of the pc and put in the old Duron I acquired from the parents with the aim of using it as a Server. Start working out if I can install from a USB stick and find that my Apple Keyboard doesn't work with it. It appears that you have to use an old keyboard to enable USB keyboards. I don't have one of those :( But then I had to abandon the project when I realised Windows Home Server needs a 1GHz chip, my Duron is only 800MHz.

Secondly the paint is coming down in my bathroom. I suspect that the builders did just the bear minimum when it came to decorating because I'd have longer, steamier showers at the parents without problems! So I'll be spending one of my days off next week doing that.

Thirdly the water tank decided to have cock of ball issues in the night and consequentially started to overflow. Thankfully I woke up early for some reason, heard it and so wrestled naked with the cock until it behaved itself. (I've had to do that once before as well so know how to sort it!) I then went back to bed!

Oh and did I mention that it snowed.

DSCN1209 DSCN1211

Yesterday I decided to go in search of more snow. And drove down the A38 to Haytor. I’d have strayed further from the car had it not picked that moment to start blizzarding!

DSCN1214 DSCN1215 DSCN1216 DSCN1217 DSCN1218 DSCN1219

I then drove down to Widecombe-in-the-Moor – famous for THAT folk song

DSCN1220

Finding not much there (it wasn’t fair day) I then headed back home, taking a few more pictures on the way

DSCN1221 DSCN1222 DSCN1223 DSCN1224 DSCN1225 DSCN1226

And today I’ve had a very very busy day at work.

(Also I’m trying to write this is using Windows Live Writer – which allegedly supports LJ!)

Ghost Town

It appears Zavvi has shut today... Miss Selfridge is going (admittedly its only a concession in one of the two 'Warehouse's), Wallis closes next week (rent too high), the place opposite Zavvi, Barratts closing down sale, The Several empty shops from shops moving into Princesshay...

I'd ask how many were to become Starbucks but even they are culling, A Street of Subway's anyone?

Change of Plan

I now looks like I'm in on Friday rather then out, best laid plans of mice and girlybois. Work have decided to give me extended shifts on Saturday. I shall still make Friday a glam day though.

I do despair at the lack of clubbing in this city at times, most of the less mainstream nights end up in bars with no dancefloor. I would like to dance once in a while. The mainstream meatmarkets don't appeal

Sunday, 25 January 2009

Upcoming Attractions

I have a few things coming up that should result in glam nights out.

Firstly on Friday there is a one off party at the university run by the LGBT society, which should be good :) Would make a change from a bar with DJ...

Then in March, Jeffree Star is playing, not sure its worth the £15 just for a Myspace 'celebrity' but he is very pretty :)

There is also a very slim chance of a trip to London in March too, not sure if that will come off yet.

So my Calendar is looking busier :)

Geek Stuff: Push Woes and Home Servers

This is the first of an occasional series of posts on the subject of “geek stuff”. As well as being a Goth and Glamour Fiend, I am also a bit of a geek (which in my experience seems to come with both the Goth and Girlyboi territories). So if geek stuff does not interest you then please disregard this entry – normal glamour stuff will resume shortly…

Firstly I have a small rant about “Email on 3” – a Java push email abomination provided by my mobile network for a Sony Ericsson K800. It doesn’t work! In theory the app launches when a new email is received for me to read it. Unfortunately it now declares “Device Identity cannot be confirmed.” and goes no further, so fine, I’ll delete it. Problem is that the network sends a text to the phone which it silently passes to the app so it can wake up. If there is no app, then I get a text full of gibberish. It is possible to turn these off. But only through the app itself, which won’t start because it can’t confirm my phone’s identity. Arrgh!

Something else I’ve been doing a bit on these long dark evenings after work is experimentation. I managed to get Windows Home Server installed on my Mac Mini from an illicit download (I’ve not used anything to crack it so it was running in 30 day trial mode) by using this guide, and was quite impressed, though the Mini’s small hard disk limited what I could do. Still I’ve restored OSX now (speaking of which Microsoft get abuse for Windows patches, Apple’s OSX required nearly 2GB of patch). I’ll probably set up a more permanent solution when I have more money (always the limiting factor). I’m torn between using old PC bits from the parents, or buying a Bare Bones ‘Shuttle PC’. The old bits is cheaper, but I’d be limited to IDE drives which are few and far between. The Shuttle would cost more, but would be more compact and quieter, and the Atom should mean it doesn’t eat much juice.

There goes the new email tone of ‘Email on 3’ still hopefully I’ll find some way to fix that. I’d rather not deal with the offshore muppets in ‘3’ support, they are the main reason I want my contract to be up soon!

New Buy: Tripod!

My new tripod has come, and I'm quite impressed for the £15 it cost. It should make the Vlogs look a lot more professional, and should mean less 'in mirror' footage. Only problem is that my camera looks so tiny on it!

TVFail

Warning Very Scary

http://tvfail.blogspot.com/

Most of TVchix has had a sense of humour fail over it and is going to threaten blogspot over it. As someone who has appeared on similar sites in the past, you just have to laugh and let it sink. After all if you post images up on the net, its inevitable that B3ta/Something Awful might find them.

Edit: TVFail was taken down by Blogger some time yesterday evening...

Girlyboi does not equal Sissy.

Something that does annoy me quite a bit is the assumption that people who are fluid when it comes to gender (well from the male being more female side, this doesn’t really apply to FTMs) are all weak ‘Sissys’. Granted there are some Transvestites out there who dress as part of a submission fetish. They want to be forced to dress as a girl and therefore be ‘humiliated’ by the loss of their perceived masculine strengths. I used to encounter these a lot when I used Alt, they would ask for advice on how to dress. I’d then get complained at because it wasn’t humiliating. Unfortunately this seems to be the type that gets reported in the media most often. How many times do the Tabloids report with complete and utter disgust about someone who does not conform to the ‘rules’ of gender? Take as an example, an Army Officer is undergoing SRS. It’s a story that crops up every so often and every time the papers place a negative spin on it, with the subtext of ‘Look at this freak!’

What people seem to forget is that there are feminine strengths as well! It’s not a bad thing to be in touch with femininity. Not everyone is macho and some embrace their female side as it helps with creativity. Not every man in a dress is doing it for sexual kicks. I may dress differently from the average man, so what. I wear makeup, is that a problem? At least I have the guts to not follow the herd.

Here ends the rant!

Quiet yet Glam

I've had a quiet but enjoyable weekend off from work. I've been using the time to experiment with a couple of looks and to get more practiced with makeup and style.

I also had a play with the camera setup for the Vlog. I've ordered a proper tripod and will see what results I get with that. My current pocket one is not very good.

Yesterday I had a girly shopping trip with a friend, I didn't buy anything as I'm saving a bit at the moment (or at least trying to) but it was nice to have a social shopping trip, did get a few looks, but my ever increasing confidence means that they don't bother me any more!

How Vile Are These!

I'm afraid I can't post a direct picture as the site is flash based. So you will have to view on the site

The pointy puffa style boot

Saw them in town today, just eww!

I'm also going to be posting a catch up of some recent pictures and possibly a video (it's some Test Footage, if I decided to keep it online for posterity then I'll post) over the next day or so.

A night with Bill

Last night I spent a fantastic evening with some friends (and their gorgeous rats) watching Bill Bailey's Tinselworm DVD. Quite a bit of material was familiar to us from seeing him at the Eden Project last summer, but there was enough that we hadn't seen as well as a few jokes only Devon locals would really appreciate. In a further confidence boost I went girled, it seems the more I do it the more confidence I get (aswell as improving my makeup).

Outfit (for those that are interested)
  • Black huge necked top (newly bought)
  • Black jeans
  • Huge belt (newly bought)
  • Pixie boots

For outside I added a coat, scarf, hat and gloves

I've been working on a couple of looks over the last day or so with the new stuff from the Primark spluge. Will keep experimenting over the next day or so and will take pictures if I come up with anything good.

Am back to work today so back to boy mode (but with black nails and possibly with eyeliner remains too *wink*)

Erk!

I have just seen a terrifying transvestite wandering around Sidwell Street. She had short hair died pink, pink leopard print hoodie with something pink underneath, black hotpants with pink bows and black tights or stockings (I didn't see the footwear!)

I love trans types but please, try and wear stuff that a girl would. You may think that what you are wearing is sexy, but if you look at girls and base your outfits on what they actually wear, then you will look sexier, better (more passable) and less "OMGWHATWASTHAT!"

Today for the most part has been very pretty.

I did the boy things in the morning and then started the glamour after lunch. Firstly I did my eyebrows slightly, its subtle and might not notice much but as a relative beginner I decided not to risk being overzealous and screwing up! I then did my makeup and dressed more feminine before heading into town.

I had a bit of a look around. I was at a slight (ok major) disadvantage because I tend not to wear my glasses when in girl mode. Still I had a good look around Primark (skidding a fair bit on their slippery floor!) and bought a couple of tops, a belt, some skirts and knickers. I then visited Superdrug for a new hair brush (my original had the bristle bit seperate from the handle) and then headed for home.

I then made a Vlog (which you can see below), cooked my dinner and then went to see a friend for a chat about Guitar Hero, festivals, possible clubbing and gossip.

So Today I am wearing (better pictures to come when they are sent over)

Black stretchy long sleeve top
Pinstipeish Skinny trousers
New Pixie Boots
Leopard print sparkly scarf

When outside I also wore:
A knit hat
Leather Gloves
New tube neck coat.

Tomorrow's outfit is still to be decided...

New Buy: Pixie Boots

Aren't these cute! I bought these very cheaply from Barratts, so not sure how long they will last. If you haddn't guessed, they are intended for daytime wear around town. The tiny heel should mean my feet don't hurt until a couple of miles in (as opposed to a few yards). I'll probably be wearing them out and about tomorrow. No work means very little boi mode! (it would be no boi but I have something I need to sort out that will require a brief boi trip to the parking people which I only found about when I got home from work last night).

A line up

My daytime boot collection, expect to see more of these in the near future.

I've also been having a massive tidy up at home. With my strange work patterns I usually come home and slump on the sofa and housework tends to be low on the priorities, there are reasons for my sudden motivation, but for now I'm keeping stum

The joys of technology

Today's entry has been delayed by technical difficulties - I can't get the pictures from my phone onto blogger (a case of more haste less speed) - I shall prod the phone, retake using the proper camera and post everything up tomorrow. I switch to earlies tomorrow (finish at 9pm tonight - start 8am tomorrow) so will be pretty much going staight to bed this evening.

Cold!

According to the Weatherpixie it was -8 last night and it still felt like that when I wondered over to the Royal Mail office this morning to collect the last of the outstanding parcels. Still its in my possession now and I'll open it up tomorrow morning. I had planned to do it this evening - and take pictures but I've had a last minute call to go out with some friends tonight (looking like crap - I'll be going straight from work) so it will have to wait.

Like Ships in the Night

One problem I do sometimes have is with deliveries. Yesterday I returned from work to find a missed delivery slip on the doormat. Nothing I could do about it so I decided to keep my fingers crossed that they would try and redeliver this morning before I left for work (I'm on lates this week). Thankfully they did. But then I find another missed delivery on the mat. This one was from the postman saying that they had an item that was too big for my letterbox. Thing is I was in, and if he'd knocked then I'd have opened the door (or if he really wanted my attention he could have rung the doorbell at the bottom of the stairs) so I have a trip to the sorting office tomorrow - luckily its only a five minute walk away.

As for what the parcels contain. I'll keep you in suspense for another day.

Possibly Spotted

Someone in the office today was blabbing about a possible tranny they saw on the quay last night with much use of "I'm a LAYDEE" - I don't think they've twigged as to who said girlyboi might have been.

Oh well. Who has the bigger balls (figurativly speaking)?

New Year shopping - part 2

Another part of my new year shopping came today (I was amazed they were delivering on a sunday)

In less good news, the purple dress is in no way shape or form a 14, I've burst a seam... Oh well - it was only about £5 and its not worth fighting when it's ebay (who don't do customer service). I think I'll stick to actual shops more, at least I can make an educated guess!

Anyway I have been out en femme today, though walking 3 miles in the new boots was probably not the best idea I've had. I also wore jeans, a cape coat with three quarter sleaves, full leather opera gloves underneath, the now torn purple dress. My make up could have been better but I think the result was quite good!

The light was really starting to fade by that point so I'm afraid that's the only photo. My confidence has certainly grown. Next time it will have to be a full shopping trip - I'd neglected to take money today, though I did have enough to get some tissues in the Co-Op on the Quay - couldn't have queued 6 months ago!

Now I think I'll have a bath to rest my feet - its back to work tomorrow so this will probably be the last glam for a week or so.

New year shopping: Part 1

The first of the new things I evilbayed as part of my daytime glamour push came today.
First is this purple dress top, on me its going to be more of a top then a dress though, I'm a bit tall for it!

Next is this tube neck coat. Given how cold it is at the moment, I think this might be a very good idea. Especially as Primark didn't have ANY coats last time I went in there.

Finally I bought these hotpants, the idea being to wear them under the dress-top. I'm not sure if that is going to work now. I'll think of a use for them at some point.

Today however is a boi day. I've been enlisted to collect my gran from the station this afternoon and take her to the parents. Still there is always tomorrow to have a grand dress up!
